High School (9-12)
Pathways to the Future
Our high school program equips students with the academic knowledge, real-world skills, and confidence they need to succeed beyond graduation. In partnership with Yavapai College and Mountain Institute CTED, PVCS students have access to concurrent enrollment, career training, and a pathway towards earning an associate’s degree. Grade 9 students follow a 4-day school week with optional Supplemental Fridays on campus. Grades 10–12 attend college courses on Fridays through PVCS’s partnerships with Yavapai College and Mountain Institute CTED. Our students graduate with options, prepared for college, career, or both.

Students begin their college experience in 9th grade with a Yavapai College elective that will help them transition to the challenging requirements of higher education. In 10th grade, they enroll in additional college courses (History, English, Math, Science, or Electives) that satisfy Arizona high school graduation requirements, while continuing to earn college credit. Juniors and seniors take the majority of their classes through Yavapai College, with a handful of additional courses taught by PVCS instructors.

Through concurrent enrollment, students will graduate high school with college credits that can be applied towards an associate’s degree or may be transferred to a 4-year university. Tuition for college courses are paid by PVCS, as long as students maintain a C or higher in all PVCS, YC, and MICTED classes. The PVCS college advisor and Yavapai College advisor work together to support students in course selection, tutoring, and transfer planning.
